Billing & Subscription

Control payment methods and subscription details for each farm you manage

The Billing & Subscriptions tab provides a centralized place to manage all financial and subscription-related information across your Carbonleap farms. Because subscriptions are farm-level, each farm you create can operate under its own plan and billing cycle.

This page helps you monitor subscription status, update payment methods, and review trial periods for all farms in your account.

What You Can Do Here

From the Billing & Subscriptions page, you can:

  • View all farms tied to your account

  • See which farms are on trial or active billing

  • Review subscription start and end dates

  • Update payment methods

  • View plan type at a high level (Essential, Premium, or Enterprise)

  • Monitor acreage used for billing

  • See when trials expire

  • Manage upcoming billing amounts

This gives growers full visibility into billing across all farms they operate.

  • Trial End Date (if applicable)

  • Plan Type (Essential, Premium, or Enterprise)

Understanding Subscription Statuses

Trial

All new farms begin with a trial period. During the trial, subscription charges are not applied. The trial end date is displayed for transparency.

Active

Once a trial ends—or once payment information is added—the farm moves into Active status. Billing begins on the first day after the trial ends.

Upcoming Billing Amount

The table displays the projected charge for each farm once the trial concludes. Amounts are estimates based on:

  • The plan selected

  • Total farm acreage

(Prices are not published in documentation.)

Updating Payment Methods

Click Update Payment Method next to any farm to:

  • Add a new payment method

  • Replace an expired or declined card

  • Ensure continuity of service after the trial period

If no payment method is added before a trial ends, the system will notify you so you can avoid interruptions.

How Subscriptions Are Determined

Subscriptions are determined at the farm level.

When you create or edit a farm:

  1. You draw or modify field boundaries

  2. Acreage is automatically calculated

  3. You choose a plan (Essential, Premium, or Enterprise)

  4. Billing is estimated based on the chosen plan and acreage

  5. The farm is activated and added to the Billing table

Changes to boundaries or plans may update the subscription amount.

How Acreage Affects Billing

Acreage is derived from the sum of field polygons for each farm.

  • Carbonleap rounds total farm acreage to the nearest whole number

  • Acre changes may affect the subscription amount

  • Any changes are displayed in the Billing table before being applied

This ensures complete transparency.

Multiple Farms, Multiple Subscriptions

Because each farm operates independently, your Billing & Subscriptions page may list:

  • Several farms on trial

  • Several farms on active billing

  • Farms under different plans

  • Different billing dates per farm

This is intentional and designed to match real-world operations where different properties require different levels of service.

Summary

The Billing & Subscriptions tab helps you:

  • Track trial periods

  • Manage payment methods

  • Monitor farm-level subscription status

  • Understand upcoming billing

  • Maintain financial clarity across farms

It is the financial control center for your Carbonleap subscriptions, ensuring smooth operation across all properties you manage.
