Profile Settings

Manage your account, farms, fields, billing, teams, and platform preferences

The Profile Settings section centralizes all configuration and management tools for your Carbonleap account. Unlike the Monitor Farm dashboard — which focuses on real-time field insights — Profile Settings is where you manage your personal information, farm structures, subscriptions, teams, and application behavior.

Profile Settings is accessed from the top-right dropdown in the navigation bar.

What You Can Manage in Profile Settings

Profile Settings includes the following tabs:

1. Account Details

Manage your personal account information, including:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • Password

  • Notification preferences

This is your personal profile, separate from farms, fields, and team settings.

2. Manage Farms

A centralized place to manage all farms connected to your account.

From this tab, you can:

  • Add new farms

  • Edit existing farms

  • Add or delete fields

  • Edit existing fields

  • View farm activation status

  • Access read-only pending changes

  • View subscriptions tied to each farm

Each farm is treated as an independent data pod with its own models, weather, alerts, and boundaries.

3. Billing (Farm-Level Subscriptions)

Billing is organized at the farm level, not the account level.

In Billing, you can:

  • View current subscription plan

  • Review estimated monthly cost based on acreage

  • See subscription status (Active, Pending, Canceled)

  • Update payment information (when available)

  • Review invoices (future update)

Acres are automatically calculated from your field boundaries and rounded to the nearest whole acre.

4. Teams

Teams allow you to invite collaborators, employees, consultants, or advisors to your Carbonleap environment.

You can:

  • Invite new members

  • Assign roles

  • Remove access

  • Grant farm-specific permissions (future update)

Team members access only the farms you give them permission to.

5. Device Permissions

Used primarily by the Carbonleap mobile app.

Here you can manage:

  • Camera permissions

  • Microphone permissions

  • Location access

  • Photo storage access

These permissions enable features like photo-based scouting, voice notes, and GPS-referenced data.

6. Manage Data Sharing (Coming Soon)

A forthcoming section that will provide:

  • Data-sharing agreements

  • Integration settings

  • Third-party API permissions

  • Export controls

This section will appear once external data-sharing features become available.

Why the Farm Selector Is Disabled in Profile Settings

When you enter Profile Settings:

  • The Farm Selector in the top-right is disabled

  • Because this view shows all farms at once and allows structural changes

Allowing farm switching here could cause confusion or accidental configuration changes.

  • Use Monitor Farm for operational monitoring

  • Use Profile Settings for configuration, management, and structural updates

  • Use the Farm Selector outside settings to switch between properties

  • Use the Field Selector (in Monitor Farm) to view field-specific insights

Summary

Profile Settings is the administrative control center of Carbonleap. Here you manage who you are, what farms you operate, how fields are structured, how your subscription works, and who has access.

Each tab is designed to keep configuration separate from day-to-day operations, ensuring a clean and organized workflow for multi-farm and multi-user environments.
