Filtering & Drill-Down Controls

Quickly locate the exact records you need across farms, fields, templates, and date ranges.

The Manage Data section is built to help you easily navigate large volumes of field submissions. With layered filters and dynamic drill-down controls, users can isolate data by farm, field, data type, and date range — ensuring that insights remain organized and actionable.

1. Farm Selection (Global Navigation)

Your selected farm in the global top navigation bar determines which dataset is displayed throughout the Manage Data page.

  • Changing the farm reloads available fields and data templates.

  • Only fields and records associated with the selected farm will be shown.

Tip: If you don’t see expected records, double-check that you are viewing the correct farm.

2. Field Selector

Located at the top of the Manage Data page, this dropdown determines which portion of the farm you want to inspect:

Field-Level Data

Shows records assigned to a specific mapped field or block (ex: A1 – Cabernet Sauvignon – 1.4 acres)

Farm-Level Data

A special option labeled Farm Level Indicates submissions that apply to the entire property instead of a specific field.

Examples of farm-level logs:

  • Whole-farm scouting

  • Property-wide equipment checks

  • General operational notes

Carbonleap maintains clear separation between field-level and farm-level data to preserve accuracy in models and analyses.

3. Data Type (Template Selector)

This control allows you to choose which category of data you want to review.

Examples include:

  • Scouting Notes

  • Irrigation Log

  • Canopy Management Log

  • Cover Crop Maintenance

  • Any custom task template you have created

Each template has its own schema and record types; selecting one refreshes the record table accordingly.

4. Date Range Filter

Found in the upper-right corner of the records table.

Default Behavior

  • The system automatically loads the last 30 days of records.

Adjusting the Date Range

You may select:

  • A predefined range (e.g., Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Current Season)

  • A custom date range

Adjusting the range immediately refreshes the results table.

5. How Filters Work Together

Carbonleap applies filters cumulatively:

Farm → Field → Data Type → Date Range

This layered approach ensures you see:

  • Only the relevant records

  • From the correct field or farm level

  • Matching the specific template

  • Within the timeframe you're analyzing

6. When No Records Are Available

If your filter combination returns no results, you may see:

  • A blank table

  • A “No records found” message

  • A prompt to adjust filters

This typically occurs when:

  • The wrong field is selected

  • The selected data type has no submissions yet

  • The date range does not include any records

Summary

The drill-down filter stack gives you precise, multi-dimensional control over all data in your farm. This ensures that whether you’re reviewing last week’s scouting notes, a full season of irrigation logs, or farm-wide maintenance activities, the information is always clean, organized, and easy to locate.
