Manage Data Overview

Review, audit, and refine all data collected across your farm.

The Manage Data section is where all ground-truth information submitted through Carbonleap comes together. Whether data is captured via Tasks, Scouting Notes, or the Mobile App, this workspace provides full transparency into every submission — from raw attachments to AI-generated summaries.

Carbonleap automatically structures incoming data, links it to the correct fields, and preserves both the original inputs and the processed insights, ensuring clean, reliable, and fully traceable farm records.

What You Can Do Here

In Manage Data, you can:

  • Review all recent farm submissions

  • Filter data by farm, field, template, and date range

  • Inspect original attachments (photos, audio, text notes)

  • Review AI-derived summaries for scouting notes

  • Edit summaries or correct record information when needed

  • Maintain a complete audit trail of all field data

This section is designed for growers who want to see the actual data powering Carbonleap’s intelligence, going beyond dashboards or maps to the source-level details.

Types of Data You Will Find

You will encounter two primary categories of submissions:

1. Task Data (Form-Based Submissions)

Submitted through:

  • Task templates created in Manage Tasks

  • Field operations such as irrigation logs, crop maintenance, pest monitoring, etc.

These records include:

  • Recorded form values

  • Submission metadata

  • Any attached files

  • A structured summary of the completed task

2. Scouting Notes (AI-Processed Submissions)

Submitted from:

  • Mobile app (photos, audio, and notes)

  • Web-based scouting tasks

Carbonleap AI analyzes scouting notes to produce:

  • Detected issues or stresses

  • Multi-layered observations (e.g., stress → biotic/abiotic → disease)

  • Supporting evidence extracted from images, audio, or text

  • A structured, human-readable summary

All original files remain accessible for full traceability.

How Data Appears in Manage Data

Records are grouped by:

  • Farm (selected from the global navigation bar)

  • Field (selected within the Manage Data page)

  • Data Type (e.g., Scouting Notes, Cover Crop Maintenance, Irrigation Log)

By default, the system displays the last 30 days of records for the selected farm, field, and template. You may adjust the date range at any time through the filter control in the top-right of the table.

Farm-Level vs Field-Level Data

Carbonleap distinguishes between two kinds of data:

Field-Level Data

Captured for a specific field or block. Examples:

  • Field scouting

  • Block-specific maintenance

  • Crop observations tied to a boundary

Farm-Level Data

Captured for the entire property rather than a single field. Examples:

  • Whole-farm scouting

  • Property-wide maintenance logs

  • Non-field-specific observations

Selecting Farm Level in the field dropdown will filter the view accordingly.

Why Manage Data Matters

The Manage Data section ensures:

  • Accuracy: Original inputs are preserved alongside AI-generated insights.

  • Traceability: Every observation links back to its source attachments.

  • Control: You may edit summaries or correct entries when needed.

  • Transparency: A complete, auditable record of all field activity is available at any time.

This deep data visibility forms the foundation for Carbonleap’s analytics, alerts, and predictive models.
