Managing Existing Tasks

View, edit, and track all tasks created from a template.

After tasks have been assigned, they can be reviewed and managed from the Manage Tasks section. Each task template has its own list of tasks, allowing you to track progress, update task details, and maintain visibility across all operational activities.

Where Tasks Are Managed

When you click on a template in Manage Tasks, a right-side panel opens showing:

  • Template details

  • List of all tasks created from that template

  • Filters for sorting and navigating tasks

  • Options to edit or delete individual tasks

From this panel, you can manage the full lifecycle of tasks tied to the selected template.

Viewing Task Details

Each task entry displays:

  • Task Name

  • Status (Pending, Overdue, Completed)

  • Priority

  • Assigned User

  • Due Date

  • Farm and Field

  • Created By

You can select any task to view its full details.

Task Statuses

Tasks move through three statuses automatically based on user action and time:

Pending

A new task that has not yet been completed.

Overdue

A pending task becomes overdue if its due date passes without submission.

Completed

A task becomes completed when the assignee submits the task form from either the web or mobile app.

Statuses update in real time and reflect across all Carbonleap platforms.

Editing a Task

Each task row includes an Edit option. You can update:

  • Task name

  • Priority

  • Assigned user

  • Due date

  • Associated field

Editing does not change the underlying template; it only updates the properties of the specific task.

Deleting a Task

You may delete a task if:

  • The task is no longer required

  • It was created incorrectly

  • You want to clean up old, unused assignments

Deleting a task removes it from all user task lists and the task history connected to the template.

⚠️ Completed tasks with recorded data should be deleted with caution, as submission data will no longer be accessible.

Reviewing Completed Submissions

When a task is completed:

  • The submitted data syncs to the cloud

  • The task moves to Completed status

  • All collected data becomes available in Manage Data

  • Submissions may influence alerts, depending on the template and data type

You can view structured submissions and notes within Manage Data for long-term analysis.

Filtering and Sorting Tasks

The template’s task panel includes filters for:

  • Status (Pending, Overdue, Completed)

  • Assigned user

  • Priority

  • Due date

These filters make it easy to manage large volumes of tasks.
