Step 3: Select Subscription
Choosing the Monitoring Plan for Your Farm
The final step in the onboarding wizard is selecting the subscription plan for your farm. Carbonleap uses your total field acreage to determine the appropriate subscription tier. Pricing is not shown in this documentation.
How Subscription Selection Works
After you finish adding fields, Carbonleap automatically:
Calculates the acreage of each field
Sums the total farm acreage
Rounds the total to the nearest whole acre
Uses that value to estimate the subscription tier
This process happens instantly in the background.
Total Acreage Calculation
Total acreage is based on:
The boundaries you drew in Step 2
The sum of all field areas
Automatic rounding to the nearest whole acre
You will see your approximate total acreage and corresponding subscription plan before confirming.
Selecting the Plan
In this step, you simply:
Review the subscription options
Select the plan that fits your operational needs
Proceed to activate the farm
Different farms under the same account can use different subscription levels. For example:
A grower may monitor an entire property with a basic plan
And track a specific high-value block under a premium plan This is possible by creating separate farms.
What Happens After You Confirm
Once you submit your subscription choice:
The system begins initializing your farm
Field boundaries are validated
Weather feeds are connected
Satellite data pipelines are configured
The phenological calendar begins processing
Alert engines are prepared
During this setup, your farm enters an activation state.
You can continue navigating the platform while the activation completes.
When activation finishes, you will be redirected to the Monitor Farm dashboard where your field insights become available.
