Monitor Farm Overview

The Central Dashboard for Real-Time Field Intelligence

The Monitor Farm dashboard is the primary workspace in Carbonleap. It brings together satellite analytics, growth stage modeling, hyperlocal weather, and alerting into a single, unified view. From here, growers can monitor field performance, detect issues early, and access the insights needed to make informed decisions throughout the season.

What You See on the Monitor Farm Dashboard

The dashboard displays several key components:

Field Selector

A horizontal row of field cards at the top of the page allows you to switch between fields within the currently selected farm. Clicking a field card refreshes all metrics, maps, and insights for that field.

Farm Selector (Top Right)

Allows switching between farms at any time. When a new farm is selected, the dashboard reloads with data for that farm’s fields.

Vegetation Maps

High-resolution satellite imagery derived from NDVI, NDMI, NDRE, and MSAVI is displayed as a colorized heatmap overlay on your field. You can adjust metric type, variants, opacity, and (in the future) date selection.

Phenological Calendar

Displays predicted and actual crop growth stages based on ten years of historical weather and GDD modeling. Also shows daily and forecasted 7-day GDD.

Weather Forecast

Provides a 7-day hyperlocal weather forecast sourced from the most accurate weather provider available for your farm’s location.

Alerts

Lists operational and agronomic alerts generated by Carbonleap’s modeling engine. Each alert includes severity, timestamp, status, and recommendations.

Monitor Farm is structured for quick access to insights:

  • Switch between fields via the field cards

  • Toggle between vegetation metrics on the map

  • Expand or collapse the phenological calendar

  • Review upcoming weather patterns

  • Monitor alerts and recommendations

All insights update automatically based on the selected field.

When Data Updates

Carbonleap continuously processes:

  • New satellite scans when available

  • Hourly and daily weather updates

  • GDD accumulation

  • Model recalculations

  • Alert evaluations

These updates appear on the Monitor Farm dashboard as soon as data is processed.

If Your Farm Is Still Activating

If your farm was newly created or recently edited:

  • The dashboard displays an “Activation in Progress” screen

  • Progress indicators show the system preparing data

  • You may continue exploring other farms (if available)

Once activation completes, the full Monitor Farm experience becomes available.
