Farm Selector
The Farm Selector ensures seamless navigation when managing multiple properties.
If your account has more than one farm, the Farm Selector in the top-right corner of the Carbonleap interface allows you to quickly switch between them. Each farm in Carbonleap is treated as an independent data environment (data pod), with its own fields, metrics, models, and subscription.
Where the Farm Selector Appears
The Farm Selector is always shown in the top-right corner of the platform, except when you are inside:
Profile Settings
Change Order workflows
Activation screens
In those cases, the Farm Selector is intentionally disabled to avoid navigation conflicts.
What Happens When You Switch Farms
Switching to another farm triggers the system to refresh all data for that farm, including:
Field list (in the Field Selector dropdown)
Satellite vegetation maps
Metric variants (NDVI, NDRE, NDMI, MSAVI)
Phenological calendar
Weather forecast & Field Highlights
Alerts based on that farm’s conditions
Tasks (when available)
Each farm maintains its own models, boundaries, and analytics.
Why Farms Are Separate
Each farm in Carbonleap is a fully isolated “data pod” because:
Fields, weather pipelines, and satellite clipping are unique to the farm’s GPS location
Growth models (GDD, phenological stages) must be calculated per farm
Alerts depend on farm-specific conditions
Subscriptions are managed at the farm level
Historical weather and imagery differ across farms
This isolation ensures accuracy and prevents data overlap when you manage multiple properties.
Switching Farms During a Change Order
If you are editing a farm or field:
The farm being edited becomes read-only
You cannot switch farms until you:
Complete the change order, or
Cancel/discard the changes
Carbonleap prevents accidental navigation that would disrupt the edit flow.
Managing Multiple Operations
The Farm Selector is especially useful for:
Growers with multiple ranches, orchards, or blocks
Consultants managing several client properties
Companies operating farms in different regions
Comparing conditions across properties
Each farm operates independently, making it easy to organize and monitor operations at scale.
Adding New Farms
You can add a new farm through:
The Farm Selector dropdown (Add Farm)
Profile Settings → Manage Farms
The onboarding flow (if no farms exist yet)
Regardless of the entry point, the onboarding experience is identical.
Summary
The Farm Selector makes it easy to work across multiple farms by letting you switch between properties instantly. Each farm maintains its own fields, subscriptions, models, alerts, and insights, giving you a clean and organized multi-farm management experience.
